Hello,
I'm working on fedora 21 (3.17.8-300.fc21.x86_64) and just installed Plasma 5 along with KDE frameworks (5.5.0-1).
It seems though the System Settings - Netwerk Settings panel only contains 1 tab 'SSL Prefs' and not the other ones such as Proxy, Connection Preferences, SSL Preferences, Cache, Cookies, Browser Identification.
Does anyone know how I can get the other entries back?
thanks

In Plasma4 at least, the proxy module is contained in the 'konqueror' package, do you have that installed?

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. Yes I have it installed. Even when creating an logging on with a new user, they are not present - sounds like some structural problem in my setup.
thanks

The Proxy KCM was added to KIO Framework in 5.6.0, which is currently in updates-testing and in dvratil/kf5-next Copr.
Note that KDE 4 KCMs don't show up in Plasma 5 System Settings, so even if you have Konqueror (which is still KDE 4), the KCM is not available in System Settings in Plasma 5. A trick you can use to open KDE 4 KCMs in Plasma 5 is to use kcmshell4 command line tool (see kcmshell4 --list for list of available KDE 4 KCMs).

Hello Daniel,
Thanks for the tip, will use that approach for now. Will the 5.6 be released by the end of this month along with the plasma 5.2 beta?

5.6.0 has been released over two weeks ago, but it got stuck in Bodhi due to some changes, so feel free to give it karma so we can get it to fedora-updates soon :)
Plasma 5.2 final is being released on Tuesday, we'll have KF5 5.6.0 in fedora- updates by then. The plasma-5 Copr will be updated to 5.2 during next week.

I agree, plasma 5.2 is working nicely and it is a real improvement (more polished) over the 4.x versions.
The single issue that I have since switching to 5 (from Daniel's repo) is that at the begin of the session all the windows are in Desktop 1, that it it does not remember the last session placement of the windows. To be clear, usually I use the browser in Desktop 4, if I log out and log in again the browser will be moved to the first Desktop. :-(

Hi,
could you please open a bug report on bugs.kde.org for product KWin? This sounds like a regression in Session management to me, something that should totally be fixed.
Cheers, Daniel

I'm getting the same thing. Also, non-KDE apps such as Chrome and Evolution are simply ignored on session startup, and window placement for KDE apps such as Dolphin is not preserved (though window size is).
If this has been reported I'll subscribe to the bug.

Nope, not yet, I have been busy with other issues.
If you report it I will add to the report.
FWIW firefox windows placement is forgot firefox is restarted in a crowded first virtual desktop. :-)
