just install it, if you want the latest version, use "yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing" where we have the latest version. Then you can add it to your system tray via right click on system tray → System tray settings → check "Network Management".

Note, if you had the old applet (which is very likely), they both are listed as 'Network Management'. toggle them so the other one listed there is enabled. :)
