What is 'tp'? Is this the next qt, or is this some alternate version? It won't install because PyQt4 needs the old qt-4.6.2.

tp = tech preview , it's a 4.7.0 pre-release.
Hrm, it should be installable, I'll have to check deps here, what errors do you get?

I don't see that. I get,

I manually downloaded them and tried to install with sudo rpm -Uvh. I got it now.
A reboot and fresh login and all seems well.

Do you have an i686 version of qt installed? That would explain the problems you have upgrading...
I have used a previous kde repo from you to overcome this problem. :-)

What I mean with this is that I have used a repo file that you have posted in this mailing list to generate the i386/i686 version of the repository. This allows to update all arch versions and thus avoids those problems.
