I wasn't expecting this yet. Thanks for the olympian effort :-))
Now that I have used it for 2 days, I have noticed that:
the shutdown option, suspend to RAM, does not work. When one moves the mouse over it, it greys out and it is impossible to select or activate.

You should at least say what video player you're using.

*Which* web browser? There are several in common use on Fedora and they use different libraries for playing video.

Hello
Maybe Nikhil is hitting the problem where hardware acceleration has to be disabled? I've seen this on two laptops using ATI video (open source drivers as far as I know, because nothing "additional"/"non official fedora" was installed on them) after upgrade to f17. In my case the problem was video playing too fast with no sound but I guess it could(?) cause even more serious problems. It happens with firefox as well as konqueror watching youtube, bbc or any other videos online (and it's fine when watching in say DragonPlayer, Kaffeine and similar "off-line" players).
Nikhil, can you try disabling hardware acceleration (goto SystemSettings->Multimedia->Phonon and on audio branches (including the heading one) make "internal audio" the first/preferred one).
Kindly do not reply to digests. Either subscribe to the normal list feed or use your mail client to reply to the specific message within the digest (most modern MUAs can do this).

My apologies. I just accused you of doing what I did myself. Yet another reason why people shouldn't reply to digests, it just screws everything up.
