Hi,
we have pushed latest and greatest Plasma release to Fedora 27. All builds are hot and currently in updates-testing repository. Grab it, test it and let us know if you have any problem with that and mostly, enjoy it.
The update can be found here: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/ FEDORA-2018-a9e88bd90c

This is awesome, thank you very much for delivering this quickly. Any chance we could get the Plasma Wayland session to work from gdm? https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1389584
Looks like it would take only a minor tweak to the .desktop file: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=760613

How do we install this test update? Not like this: dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update @kde Error: Group 'kde' is not installed.

well, i have enabled updates-testing as a whole for 8 years now....

It's queue'd for stable updates, so should be coming soon.
Not like this: dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update @kde Error: Group 'kde' is not installed.
Not sure if comps groups can be used for this purpose (I have my doubts), but if so, you need to use the right name: @kde-desktop
-- Rex
dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing --advisory=FEDORA-2018-a9e88bd90c update
Does not work for me: ``` Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:15 ago on Fri Mar 9 10:57:10 2018. No security updates needed, but 252 updates available Dependencies resolved. Nothing to do. Complete! ```
So DNF sees that updates are available, but does not install them. How can I make it install them?

dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update plasma*
Works for me.

Similar issue: ``` $ sudo dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing --advisory=FEDORA-2018-a9e88bd90c update 'plasma*' Last metadata expiration check: 0:18:29 ago on Fri Mar 9 10:57:10 2018. he didn't say that you should combine it with --advisory=FEDORA-2018-a9e88bd90c - he said "dnf --enablerepo=updates-testing update plasma*" while * should be * in general on the shell
Just noticed my mistake. Thanks!

It worked for me when I tried it. (Well, it listed the packages that would be updated, at which point I said "n" and did not actually try the update.) Now it stopped working indeed. No idea what happened to the update, it should still be in testing according to Bodhi.

Thank you. :-)
The only problem that I noticed is that when I want to call krunner (Alt+F2 or Alt+Space) and firefox is active on the background I do not see krunner dialog.
I see that the firefox window looses the focus but I do not see the dialog.
In my day to day works this only happens with firefox, not with any other application be it Qt- based or not.
This is really minor and so I did not pursue it further, like reporting or equivalent.

And now with the latest updates from testing-updates it is working again.
I should complain to this list more often. :-)

I noticed with this build I get issues when attempting to mount a user mountable NFS filesystem. Dolphin mentions a problem about corruption or double-free - but it mentions the 'Home' path and not the NFS share.
I posted this in the IRC channel if you happen to have this in the history.

Not related to Plasma, try downgrading libtirpc, that update seems to be broken: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2018-86582722ca

Ah, thankyou sir - I noticed it too late for me to get to any debugging and have been in meetings all day - but downgrading the package to the following version restores NFS mounts etc:
libtirpc.x86_64 1.0.2-4.fc27
