Is there an explicit policy one way or the other on allowing packages whose upstream requires a login to download?
My current package ncarg and its replacement (ncl) have moved to this.
It seems that this is also the case with ksh as well. Kevin might be able to tell us if there are others.

There is no policy preventing this.

I guess that you are referring to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=381241#c23
I said that I don't want personally to approve this package, but I think that it is not against the guidelines. It is just that I disapprove personnally this practice, so I won't approve it myself.

Hi Patrice and Orion,
I've registered for access at the ESL web site and (in "...in one or two business days...") might be able to confirm that the source matches upstream. I say "might" because I refused to give them any of my phone numbers and instead supplied them with a 555-... number.
Assuming they accept the application, I'll be happy to give the package a cursory review.
Would that help?

Package is pretty much fully reviewed - Patrice did a great job. I just need someone willing to approve it.
