Hi
The fc12 build of one of my packages has been tagged with trashcan and will be deleted by koji. Does this mean that the package will be removed from the fc12 repository? If so then how can it be saved as it is a part of the fedora electronic lab and must not be removed at this point.

You mean "one of your builds", not "one of your packages".

It means the build will be deleted. It was probably either a scratch build or was never pushed to any release. I'm sure that you could get more information about why the build is being deleted if you gave some information about the build itself.

Below are the details. I am a little new to packaging and am not sure what unreferenced exactly means.
I'm sure that you could get more information about why the build is being deleted if you gave some information about the build itself.
The following build(s) are unreferenced and have been marked for deletion. They will be held in the trashcan tag for a grace period. At the end of that period they will be deleted permanently. This garbage collection is a normal part of build system operation. Please see the following url for more information:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Koji/GarbageCollection
Build: archmage-0.2.3-1.fc12 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=105650
Build: gnusim8085-1.3.5-4.fc12 http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=105348
If you would like to protect any of these builds from deletion, please refer to the document linked above for instructions.

Not in any release; the current version in f12 is archmage-0.2.3-2.fc12.
RB> Build: gnusim8085-1.3.5-4.fc12
Not in any release; the current version in f12 is gnusim8085-1.3.5-5.fc12.
The build system doesn't keep every version ever built; that would grow without bound. It deletes builds which are no longer needed, and since those builds you list have been superseded by newer builds, there's simply no reason to continue to store them. The actual record of what was in that version is available from CVS, and you could rebuild that version from a checkout if you really needed to.

Thank you. I understand now.
