Do we have packaging guidelines applicable for the Vala programming language? I've reviewed a couple of packages now and they don't have a consistent naming convention.
eg:
vala - the base package
emacs-vala - emacs mode
gupnp-vala - vala bindings for gupnp (universal plug'n'play) library
vtg - "Vala Toys for gEdit" currently under review here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=484360

I think our generic naming guidelines[1]_ would recommend:
vala - the base package
Fine.
emacs-vala - emacs mode
Fine. This is an addon to emace.
gupnp-vala - vala bindings for gupnp (universal plug'n'play) library
vala-gupnp. These are an "addon" to vala.

gedit-vtg. This is an addon to gedit.

If you think the generic guidelines don't apply or don't suggest the correct thing, feel free to propose an addition.
