Hi,
just trying to do a scratch build of a fedora-package for EPEL 5.
This fails, because MD5 sum does not match. Is there a known workaround for this? Is there a way to rebuild a Fedora-SRPM EPEL 5 conformant?
DEBUG util.py:256: error: unpacking of archive failed on file /builddir/build/SOURCES/django-lint-0.13.tar.bz2;4bbc65bb: cpio: MD5 sum mismatch DEBUG util.py:319: Child returncode was: 1
Installing Fedora SRPMs on RHEL requires the --nomd5 option for rpm-command.
Thanks, Matthias

use rpmbuild-md5 when preparing SRPMs for EPEL

Dan,
thank you, that's what I was looking for.

I also find it handy to have the following snippet in ~/.cvspkgsrc. This allows me to check out any package from Fedora's CVS and use 'make srpm-md5' in an F-* branch and get a suitable srpm for EL-*.
# use this to build an srpm locally, with md5 checksums RPM_MD5_OPTS = --define "_source_filedigest_algorithm md5" \ --define "_binary_filedigest_algorithm md5" srpm-md5: sources $(TARGETS) $(RPM_WITH_DIRS) $(RPM_MD5_OPTS) --nodeps -bs $(SPECFILE)
