Issue with booting off FC3 dev install disk

Hi All, I'm trying to install on a p615 using a FC3 dev install disk I recently downloaded. At kernel load I get "Unrecoverable FP Unavailable Exception 800 at d00000000002ad28". Has anyone else seen this and/or know how to get around it? Thanks, Niki

Are OldWorld Macs still supported?

Hi, I've recently (Sep 04 2004) downloaded the Fedora development boot iso and tried it on my old PowerMac 7300. After burning the image, I've copied the kernel and ramdisk to HD and tried booting through BootX. The system produces some output on the display but does not start any form of installation procedure - it just sits there. Is this kernel/ramdisk version (2.6.8-1.541) supposed to work on OldWorld Macs? If yes, let me know, so that I can file a bug report. Thanks, Bob Deblier

No luck with ISO files

Gday guys, I recently tried the first cd from http://fedora.linux.duke.edu/FC3-re0903.0/isos/ppc/ftp-isos/ , and I am unable to boot from the first CD. The ISO files checksummed fine.. just couldnt boot. Has anyone had success with booting/installing from these isos ? Wade Mealing

kernels after 2.6.8-1.533 fubared?

I've tried a couple of kernels post 2.6.8-1.533 and they all die on switching to the new root as a pile of journal_ symbols are missing from the ext3 module. Just me, or are others seeing this? -- Alex Kiernan
