I have been checking from time to time. I'll keep looking. I really want
for my next system to have firmware that is free software. Unfortunately
the power8 systems are higher end than I really need (though I do want
ECC memory) and I may not be able to afford one right away.
I see there is a Power 8 system being advertised that runs on open firmware
and does have IME (or the AMD equivalent). I am looking to pick up a
replacement server sometime this year, which would run Fedora and was
wondering if I should keep an eye on this one?

I'd want to be able to run up to date versions of Fedora on it for
several years.
