Hi everybody,
RPM 4.14.0 alpha was released yesterday [1] and it is already available in Rawhide [2]. Why I am writing this here? Because it will include support of .gem files by %setup macro. So finally, will be able to implement the proposal I discussed here two years ago [4]. So please expect some guidelines changes soon (should be backward compatible, so don't worry ;) ).
