Hmm, interesting. I could have sworn I was to be notified with every release of a gem for every package that I maintain...

Hmm, interesting. I could have sworn I was to be notified with every release of a gem for every package that I maintain...
There's part of the crux; not all of these projects properly release their new releases through rubyforge... or not all of the releases end up with the rubyforge web interface. Or something.

If you haven't checked it out yet I've been toying with gemcutter.org's subscriptions. When combined with the RSS feed from your dashboard it seems like a pretty good way to be notified of new releases.

I made a small change causing the script to also download the gem sources into %{_sourcedir} using a grep ^$CVS_USERNAME.
Should you have such set, and have such need, patch attached (however minimal).
