Hi
After installing Fedora 30 (fresh install), Korganizer crashes (segmentation fault) on start-up. Korganizer reminder daemon is running on the system tray. Clicking on it (or launching Korganizer from menu) starts the application which crashes immediately (no UI comes up).
I have updated all packages and the observation persists.
Anyone else seeing this?
Thanks,
Syam

I do not see that. I launch korganizer from kontact and I do not see it.
Could you try running kontact and then change to korganizer to see if the problem persists?

Tried that and both crash when I try to select Calendar from Kontact!

I cannot reproduce this.
Normally I would say file a bug, but kde-apps 19.04.2 updates are coming soon to f30, so better to wait and test that first before filing anything (preferably upstream @ bugs.kde.org).

I have updated to 19.04.2 and it still crashes. The crash handler says that the generated backtrace is not useful.

I installed necessry debuginfo packages and now Dr Konqui says that the backtrace is useful. But still the 'report bug' button is disabled.
From the backtrace, it seems that the crash is inside a Qt function. Is that why the report bug button is disabled?
I have attached the trace. Can someone please take a look and tell me where I should file a bug report.
Thanks,
Syam

No problems here on 3 systems.
You say "fresh install", but does the include the /home partition as well?
How about creating a new user and testing with that?

Well, I do have a fresh install. The only configuration files that I backup and restore from my home directory are those for Akregator and firefox.

The problem exists for a newly created user too.
I guess I'll follow Rex's advice and wait for the updates before filing a bug report.
Btw, the related packages I installed manually after doing a fresh Fedora install are: kdepim-addons & kdepim-common.
I do this to get PIM events plugin for the calendar widget. I've been doing this for a couple of years and I hope they are still valid.
Thanks,
Syam

FWIW, I had kdepim-addons already installed but not kdepim-common. I installed that and everything still works just fine for me.
[egreshko@f30bk ~]$ rpm -q korganizer kdepim-common kdepim-addons korganizer-18.12.2-1.fc30.x86_64 kdepim-common-17.12.3-3.fc30.x86_64 kdepim-addons-18.12.2-1.fc30.x86_64

FWIW the updates are already available in the updates-testing repository.
Thanks. I don't usually install anything off updates-testing. A bit wary of 'testing' :-)
