Hi
I installed 4.11 from the testing repo a couple of days ago on an x86_64. Plasma deskotp crashes.
A bug report has been filed at
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322283
The bug report deals mostly with 32 bit kde. So I don't know for sure that its relevant.
I tried to disable a the kde repo and tried to run yum distro-sync, but there were too many conflicts to try to deal with them right now without consulting with you guys.
Anyhoot
Thanks for looking into this.

OK... I managed to distro-sync.
Might I suggest... With respect. If you want to change the package names.... Please do this in phases... That is, change the name in a released version that is known to work reasonably well first. Then when a new release happens and there happens to be some problem with it, then a resonable yum distro-sync can insue.
Just a suggestion :)

Duly noted.
In fairness, we only ever change names for big upstream updates. In this case, kde.org upstream decided to distribute split (non-monolithic) kde-4.1.1 tarballs for kdeadmin, kdenetwork, kdesdk, kdetoys modules.

That thing has always been crashy for me. I gave up on it years ago.
Luckily, nowadays there's the "Icon Only Task Manager" plasmoid that's part of stock KDE. It pretty much does the same thing, and seems to be much more stable.

Thanks for the tip...
I've always liked smoothtasks :)
I will give icon only a try..... But I will probably miss the text.
