Please briefly describe the interaction that caused you to file this
ticket:
Conversation with people of #fedora-social that abuse me, commenting non-
related facts of my country with a answer about fedora russian and skype
and other person making remarks about that es language is "Mexican't" and
I speak "You say spinach I say Mexican't" and a non polite attitude.-
They +q mode 2 times with excuses without a real fundament. Fenris02 start
a conversation about crimes and war in my country for a example of the non
legal in my country (i was asking for legal terms of fedora russian
compiling Skype in koji).
I respond with "read plan condor", that involves CIA and my country about
crimes and war, so... +q applied to me. I mentioned nigger word in ironic
mode, because i felt the racist or no tolerant of the US soul with Latin
people, for the comment of Evilbob like '''"<EvilBob> nix\: As long
as you don't claim to be American, we will be OK"''' WHAT IS IT?, 100%
pure racism, why I'm not american?, I'm what?, sudaca?, chicano?, What
Bob?.. Sorry but I'm american, America is a continent, United States a
country. I feel that Evilbob and fenris02 have some intolerance to the bad
english or non US people of regions like south america, arabic and black
people. Before the incident, Evilbob be offended because a user say "bro",
and he clear me in fedora-social that bro is used by a ethnicity in US (i
know that afro people), so, WHY offend you?, what is the problem of Bob
Jensen with the black people?.
Other thing, I sended a Email to fenris02, because he no allow pm or
notices, and he respond me in the fedora-social again, acussing me of say
that HE is racist, the mail is at your disposal if you wish look it. I
only seek for a explanation of the mistreat with my person and expose of
history of my country, a bad piece of the history for a question about
fedora.
Today, one night later, again, DiscordianUK +q me because he say: "I
suggest you stop the whingeing", BUT the start of the conversation is by
fenris02 in answer to my Email, so, I disturbing?, i don't think so.
Sorry for my bad english but i speak natively spanish, if no can
understand the ticket tell me and I translate with a professional
traductor in 24 hours. I want that the fact is clarified. I want help,
promote and support fedora, no support abuse of intolerant people.

13:51 < gotestra> Hey

outputs the last three lines of a txt or cfg file?
13:52 < fenris02> "man tail"
13:52 < gotestra> Like, if I want the output for a .cfg file, I would use
"cat /etc/fuck/something.cfg"
13:52 < fenris02> gotestra : This is a family channel, please do try to
avoid cursing. Thanks.
13:52 < gotestra> Dammit sorry.
13:52 < gotestra> "cat /etc/banana/monkey.cfg"
13:53 < fenris02> you were answered already, why do you keep asking?
13:53 < gotestra> I was answered?

20:28 < Remram> hi guys! I'm trying to install Fedora

20:29 < Remram> "/dev/disk/by-label/.... does not exist"
20:29 < Remram> "/dev/mapper/live-rw does not exist"
20:29 < Remram> and then I drop into an emergency shell
20:30 < jstressman> how did you create your boot disk?
20:30 < Remram> I'm booting off the live cd...
20:31 < Remram> I downloaded Fedora-18-x86_64-Live-KDE.iso
20:32 < fenris02> you did not use unetbootin did you? or some other
heavily broken tool?
20:33 < Remram> I did not
20:33 < Remram> just booted on the cdrom
20:33 < fenris02> no, you dont comprehend.
20:33 < fenris02> you downloaded the iso from somewhere, verified it, then
put it on media using some tool. what was that tool?
20:34 < Remram> I burnt it on a CDROM with nero
20:34 < Remram> put it on the other computer and started it
20:34 < fenris02> how did you verify the iso download ?
20:35 < Remram> I used the SHA256 that was alongside the iso
20:36 < Remram> in Fedora-18-x86_64-Live-CHECKSUM
20:38 < Remram> there is only "by-id" in /dev/disk
20:39 < fenris02> great. what did you use for your sha256 check?
20:39 < Remram> the command line thing from cygwin
20:40 < fenris02> cool
20:40 < fenris02> any reason you decided not to use f19 or the updated
media found in the /topic here? you do realize f18 goes end of life
shortly right?
20:40 < Remram> yes
20:41 < Remram> I guess I'll be updating shortly, but I will use it to
test stuff on Linux
20:41 * fenris02 sighs .. ok - asking again .. one at a time
20:41 < fenris02> Why 18 instead of 19?
20:41 < Remram> so I'm assuming if it works on my dev machine and fedora
18 it works on 19
20:41 < fenris02> bad assumption.
20:42 < Remram> that might be right but I still need to test on 18, it's
not yet unsupported so there are people using it
20:42 < fenris02> "need to test on 18" ? perhaps you want to explain?
20:43 < Remram> I think this is going in every direction but my problem so
far, but sure
20:43 < fenris02> extracting answers from you is almost worse than
pulling teeth you know. you could make this go a WHOLE LOT faster.
20:43 < Remram> I want to test some software I'm making on various
platforms, fedora 18 is one of them
20:43 < Remram> I have an ubuntu 12.04 box next to it
20:43 < fenris02> blah blah blah rambling about nothing.
20:44 < fenris02> want to try again, with real answers this time?
20:44 < Remram> you're asking about everything but my problem
20:44 < Remram> dude, chill out
20:44 < fenris02> great. good luck to you. i'm out. you refuse to
answer basic questions that would help you.
20:44 < Remram> if you don't wanna help but ask me what I had for
breakfast instead, go ahead, but don't blame me for not stating the color

how retarded

#162: Fedora supporter(?) decides I shall not file a bug

---------------------+------------------------
A fedora supporter(?) (or just a user, I don't know) decided I shall not
file a bug because he/she personally thinks it is working as designed. As
far as I can judge, the person isn't a developer of the given product, and
also I don't see why the person should personally decide on what fedora
users should be able to file bugs about and what not.
I should probably not even need to defend the bug here, but it wasn't a
useless random ticket but something I genuinely feel is a problem: I *did*
have issues with this (my disk was full, and I had tried investigating
because df showed a lot of free space (btrfs, you may know the troubles..)
and I required root access to do so - however, root login would not work),
so it wasn't just a theoretical exercise.
However, at the time of the conversation, my disk and root logins and all
were in a nice state again, which makes the response I received even more
useless and disappointing.
I would really prefer if people on #fedora were not to make themselves
ultimate deciders on what people can file bugs about or not, but rather
leave it to the actual devs on bugzilla what to accept and what to refuse.

I don't know what would be the best course of action. I can only say I
have been seing fenrus02 getting rudely arrogant (disclaimer: that is my
subjective impression) with others asking for help before (including
myself), I'm not sure what should be done about it. I would certainly like
to see that change though.
