Добрый вечер! Нарушая затянувшееся молчание в списке рассылки, хочу подвести краткие итого работы над переводами FC6. Нашими совместными усилиями были переведены и вычитаны почти все модули, упомянутые на http://i18n.redhat.com/cgi-bin/i18n-status?locale=ru&page=status Остался следующий объем работ: - Release Notes - policycoreutils - summary - desc Первые три я готов взять на себя и сделать их до Test3 (скорее, на этой неделе). Прошу откликнутся желающих взять на себя труд перевода модуля описаний ПО desc. Стиль перевода сочетаний типа ISDN connection

Уважаемые коллеги, В англоязычных графических интерфейсах довольно часто встречаются сочетания типа Ethernet interface, LCS connection и т.п. В принятом сейчас русском переводе мы используем выражения "интерфейс Ethernet", "соединение LCS" и т.д. Это правильно с точки зрения языка, но создает реальные неудобства в графическом интерфейсе пользователя. Например, в программе system-config-network есть серия диалогов, позволяющая определить новое сетевое устройсто. Первый шаг в этой серии - выбор типа нового устройства. В графическом интерфейсе доступные типы устройств представлены в виде окна с двумя вертикальными панелями. В левой панели - список типов устройств, а в правой - пояснения к тому типу, который в данный момент выбран. Тут две проблемы. Во-первых, ширина левой панели недостаточна, чтобы вместить всё название типа устройств целиком Во-вторых, в русском переводе существенная часть каждого названия нагодится в конце, поэтому она либо не видна, либо трудно различима. Например, на английском эта панель выглядит так: Ethernet connectio ISDN connection Modem connection Token Ring connec Wireless connectio xDSL connection А на русском так: Соединение Eth Соединение ISD Модемное соед Соединение Tok Беспроводное с Соединение xD Не лучше ли было бы изменить перевод всех таких фраз таким образом, чтобы существенная часть стояла в начале. Например, Ethernet соединение ISDN соединение Модемное соединение Token Ring соединение Беспроводное соединение xDSL соединение

Перевод сайта к выпуску альфа-версии Fedora 17

Привет. 28 февраля выходит альфа-версия Fedora 17. По этому поводу, как обычно, в Transifex добавлен модуль для перевода сайта с новыми строками [1], а ветвь master через пару дней будет заблокирована. Ссылка на тестовую версию сайта ниже [2]. Вопрос о переводе слов mount/unmount

Я с некоторым удивлением обнаружил, что в русском переводе Fedora выражения типа "mount filesystem", "mount volume", "mount storage pool" переводятся словом <<подсоединить>>, а не <<смонтировать>>; соответственно, "unmount" переводится как <<отсоединить>>, а не как <<отмонтировать>>. Мультитран в разделе <<Вычислительная техника>> приводит следющие выражения: file system mount point - точка монтирования файловой системы mount a drive - подсоединять диск mount a volume - монтировать том mount command - команда монтирования mount partition - смонтировать раздел (aki) mount point directory - каталог точки монтирования mount point - точка монтирования (файловой системы) Термины на основе слова <<монтирование>> используются в русском языке по отношению к UNIX-подобным системам с начала 80-х годов. Было ли какое-то обсуждение причины замены этого устоявшегося термина?
