I just did a fresh install of tc6, and noticed that the lock screen default wallpaper has been changed from the pink starburst to this:

Is that the way it is supposed to look? or do i have some sort of colour-corrupted image?
cheers, ryanlerch

That's how it's supposed to look.
Cheers

We had some not-so-subtle feedback on the pink starburst, so we replaced it with new, original artwork. GNOME is listening...

hmm
Is the lock screen not supposed to immediately suspend the screen rendering this separated lock screen wallpaper kinda is unnecessary or is that a bug ( happens on F20 beta )?

It's still visible when the screen shield comes down (Super+L) and before you dismiss the shield when locked.

It will also be shown when the screen wakes up for a short time because a new notification has arrived.

It's only visible for single second on my dual monitors before locking and not visible in the time it takes my monitors to wake up so as I said it kinda does not make sense.
Should notifications really wake up the screen and aren't that just subscription on battery drainage?

Notifications on the lock screen are optional (and if I remember correctly, not enabled by default). So presumably, if you've configured notifications on the lock screen, you're voluntarily electing this battery usage.

For what little it's worth, I did a fresh install of the latest F20 Beta RC this morning, and notifications on the lock screen were enabled by default.

I understand that is why it was changed. I was just wondering if the image was rendering as intended. On both my screens the new highlights added (that make if different from the default gnome wallpaper) are very brown. At first glance, i thought that the image was corrupted.
But if it is rendering as intended... fair enough.

I think it looks pretty nice and blends better with the current desktop background. :-)

FWIW (very little, I know) I think it's pretty.
