Hi folks! [Yesterday's Test Day][1] on Wayland-by-default was a great success! Here's the Test Day report.
49 testers combined ran a total of 341 tests and filed or referenced 35 bugs. 9 of those have since been closed as duplicates, leaving 26 open reports:

Some of these are not Wayland bugs, but it's not a bad thing that people found some non-Wayland bugs as well while testing! We did find several new Wayland issues, but on the positive side, no really big bugs that weren't already known and on the radar for the final release.
So the event looks like a success on all fronts: we found some new bugs to squish, but it also gives us a decent indication that the Workstation-on-Wayland experience is in a good enough condition for a first stable release. We also confirmed that the Workstation-on-X11 session is available as a fallback and that works properly, for anyone who can't use Wayland for any reason.
Many thanks to all the testers for their hard work!

Hi Adam, I see no one reported broken video playback on fullscreen in Totem. Is it a known bug, is there any plan to fix it in F25? Not working fullscreen playback in the default video player is a sort of serious or at least visible issue. If it's something that cannot be fixed before F25 is release, how about forcing Totem to run on XWayland?

What's the problem exactly? Have you filed a bug?
FWIW I have totem playing video fullscreen here, no problem.
There've been several bugs fixed lately upstream, dunno how many of those fixes are actually in F25, and I can't tell whether or not this is fixed without knowing much about your issue...
Cheers, Olivier

Trying different videos now I can't reliably reproduce it. Looks like a race condition. When I hit it, there is a grey bar on the top of the screen above the video and when I try to get out of the fullscreen mode Totem ends up in some sort of maximize/fullscreen state when the app's UI is in fullscreen mode, but the GNOME Shell's top panel is visible. And no button in Totem or Esc works to get out of it. I need to go to Activities and close Totem's thumbnail. But as I said I just found out I couldn't reliably reproduce it, so I'm not sure if I can provide anything valuable for debugging.

Then that would be https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=772707
Could you pick that patch and rebuild cogl with it to test?
Cheers, Olivier

For completion, I'd also mention https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=771320 which actually also fixes https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=767713 with totem (both use ClutterEmbed which needs to be notified whenever the size/position changes).
So if you apply:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/gtk%2B/commit/?id=12579fe to gtk+
and:
https://git.gnome.org/browse/cogl/commit/?id=e0fda73 to cogl
You should have the issue gone for good.
Cheers, Olivier
