Hi everybody,
For a couple of years since we switched to MediaWiki, I've been working with Infrastructure to get a new localization framework set up on the wiki. After trying multiple methods, with none of them working very well, I set up a subpage-based localization system on the wiki today.
All of the templates are fully functional as they stand. There is draft documentation available at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FedoraProject:Translating
I'd like translators to look over the documentation and make any suggestions they have.. I've tried to make the process as simple and user-friendly as possible.
I hope that this can make translation better for everybody on the wiki. Thanks for everything you do!

Thank you Ian and Rui, This will be very useful for all translators. Now I like to learn how other teams to maintain those translated wiki pages, as some of them might not be static but have some updates occasionally? Watching page? Any idea would be appreciated.

Hi noriko. I think that a way would be that each team creates their own wiki page, containing information about which pages are being translated, the name of the team members that are involved in the process, and any other data that helps knowing what to translate and what not, to the rest of the team. Of course, each translator would have to watch and update those pages over which she/he is working on, and inform the rest of the team in the case that he/she can't do it any more. Hi noriko. :-) The trans-es list is enough for us to organize our work.

Not really, Noriko-san. It would have been in [1], but as we have lost some work in the last update from moin moin to mediawiki framework, nobody in the Spanish team updated it and we are currently working with our local trans-es list. We only have updated the dictionary [2] for common pitfalls in translations and some useful tips.
We were not adding anything else but the front page to the wiki because of the lack of the translation support in the mediawiki software. Kudos to Ian Weller for his work on this issue. It would be nice if he would submit it upstream. Our Team will work in the other pages soon. Thanks to our Ambassadors for their work in Spanish translation in the wiki too.
By the way, Daniel is doing a great job in helping with coordination in the Fedora Spanish Translation Team. He will be soon upgraded to sponsor for our team.

Ian, Thanks a lot for doing this. It's really a simple process, and gives translators a lot of independence. Great tool really.

That's a great translation framework and stuff. Thanks to the language box, we can know without asking whether a page has translated or not. It's a good idea and useful.
I think it's better that the English contents are automatically copied into new translation page if a red link is clicked when a translator works.

Hi Ian,
I found verbose language boxes in case "{{:EPEL/FrontPageStarters}}" is used in hierarchy directory. Sorry, it's hard to explain, so you can see as below. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL
Although all language boxes works fine, one box is better.
