Yes, I understood what you mean in your first email. I know Anaconda and I was the responsible for the translation of this module some releases ago. The answer I give previously remains.

Anyway, I will take a look on the final version this week and give you a feedback.

what I mean is during installation.

Anaconda is the installation program, and it was almost fully translated to Spanish in Beta phase. And now, I see many untranslated strings which were translated in beta.

Hi all,

I've copied the anaconda.mo file from the installer to my host, got back the po file with msgunfmt and examined the po file.

Some strings which are translated in the po/mo file, doesn't display in anaconda, only the english string is displayed.

Can it be a gettext bug in the installer? All the untranslated strings are coming from .glade files, the strings are coming from .py files are translated.

Should I file a bug in RHBZ?

went fine as I said in the Test Results, but in the F17 GA x86_64 DVD,

buttons labels were translated many releases ago!

There are also many, many other untranslated strings (please read my
test results, I always participate in anaconda translations and
testing).

Do you translators see the same results in other languages?

I just tested few locales (include CJK, Hindi and pt_BR) with Fedora 17 GA x86_64 DVD. All tested languages have missing strings. There is a bug [1] already reported for this.

There must have been a change in the method used to build the anaconda package for the live image used for testing [1] and the way it was built for Beta and GA releases. Perhaps a race condition in a parallel build.
