Hi Alex,
following our translation sprint, can you please provide a few stats about strings and word per contributor and language from April 1st to April 18th?
can you also provide: * the number of new contributors per day? I had a few new members in french team, I assume it can be relevant for the whole platform
* the list of all contributors per team in order to check if consistent with cvsl10n, so we give contributors full access to Fedora infrastructure
as attachments are forbidden on mailing list, can you host them on Fedora wiki, fedora people or whatever place you'll find convenient?
thanks a lot for your help, we'll use these extracts to write down a public report
I will try to get the db dump before extrating any information.

waiting.... :) Unfortunately last time we did not able to provide sprint report well in time, dont want to miss it this time.
I think we need broader discussion on opening (making accessible) this stats for few Fedora community peoples, will discuss this in next meeting.

Thank you Alex.
The F26 translation badge says: "You translated over 20 strings in a Fedora 26 translation sprint. You are a Fedora 26 translation hero!" Is it easy to get this information or should we change the sentence to speak about words instead of strings? https://badges.fedoraproject.org/badge/fedora-26-translation-sprint
Are the project member you listed contributors or newcomers? I feel like it isn't newcomers. Would it be possible to know how much new translators joined us for this sprint?
To finish, main teams already had a good translation percentage for priority packages and may have legitimately shifted to less priority packages. While percent of translation on priority packages does give a good information about where Fedora is, I'm afraid some contributors will not be rewarded because they had to go elsewhere to translate.

Word is better for statistics calculation as a string might be just 1 word or 1000 words.

How you define newcomers? translators that registered in Zanata and translate since the start of vFAD 26?

Tricky. Idea: May be we can compare people participated in last sprint and this sprint? Based on badges alloted.

As you know, this time we have allowed people to translated other packages also during sprint. That's why we need all translation happened in Zanata during the sprint time.

I compared from F25 and F26 based on all contributors on all packages. (regardless how many words they translated). If we only interested in those who contributed >=500 words, you can compare it with vFAD 25 list that we had.

Indeed, it's great!
Does this sheet includes only contributors for priority packages or the whole Zanata platform?
As we have to change the badge attribution rule to use words instead of strings, do we go for 200?
When can we expect to have global statistics for every projects so we can use the full statistics?
@Sylvia, it's manually attributed by filling a request to the badge team, I assume Pravins will do it.

I think yes. Alex can confirm again.

Since, this time criteria was not clear, i will suggest let award badge to all participants.

Hi Alex,
Even after so extensive statistics we need some further help.
- For awarding badges, we need list of contributors irrespective of package translated from 11th-17th April. - From earlier stats i.e. 1st-18th April, i think we can derive some more analysis.

Well, "Statistics from 2017-04-01 to 2017-04-18" :-) So one may have translated stuff before the vFAD that has been approved by another member during this vFAD.
